During December, virtualDCS celebrated Christmas with the CloudCover Christmas Countdown. Taking place over 15 days, the event was a great way to bring people together virtually during the festive season.
As an alternative to Christmas cards, participants enjoyed the opportunity to win an assortment of prizes, including a Christmas Pudding Gin Liqueur and a Thames Cruise with Wine and Canapes for two.
Each day revealed a new challenge that tested participants’ industry knowledge, across a range of tasks – from technical questions to finding a sneaky Grinch hiding on the website. By submitting the correct entries, participants were entered into a prize draw for the chance to win the exclusive daily prize.
We’re pleased to say that we had 21 lucky winners over the 15 days, including:

“‘The daily Christmas countdown challenge from virtualDCS provided a welcome moment of lightheartedness in the usual hectic run-up to Christmas and the interesting and varied range of prizes on offer provided that little extra incentive to check the answer before entering. I was the lucky winner of a large box of chocolates which were enjoyed by friends and family over Christmas and the New Year!” – Jonathan Jay – RCP
“The Christmas Countdown was a fun end to the year. You never expect to win anything but low and behold, I managed to nab myself a Lego Ford Mustang. I think I spent about 4 hours building it on the 28th in between my diet of Pringles and Ferrero Rocher” Steven Robertson – Barrier Networks
“I was delighted to win a comedy night for 2 during the advent calendar competition and was glad my Christmas knowledge came in handy for me to win! A massive thank you to Virtual DCS and I enjoy taking part in the competition during the festive period.” Khara Millar – Arrow
“Many thanks to the VirtualDCS team for running the Christmas countdown incentive. There were some great prizes to be won and it was fun to open the door every day on the run-up to Christmas. Thanks again for my £10 Amazon voucher” – Lee Jones – Zadara
“I was delighted to find out I’d won an Echo Pod and Door CAM, two great prices from one entry. The Christmas countdown was a fun way to test my knowledge of the VirtualDCS products and services” James Bulley – CalderIT
