Jonty Lendill, a third year Media Production student from Liverpool John Moores University, has joined virtualDCS on a two-week placement.
During the placement period Jonty, who is originally from Leeds, will be joining the company as a video production manager. He will be planning and creating short videos about the virtualDCS team and the work that the company undertakes.
“I wanted to do a media placement to increase my practical experience along with my academic achievements and to assist my degree. I believe that many employers desire students to have previous work experience as it provides them with a better understanding of individual abilities. Studying media production at Liverpool John Moores University has taught me many skills that I wanted to transfer into the working world.
After hearing about the company and its culture I really wanted to do a media placement at virtualDCS. I have always had a keen interest technology and I believed that virtualDCS was the best company to help me develop my professional industry skills” commented Jonty.
Richard May, Managing Director of virtualDCS said: “As an employer, we know that a career has to start somewhere and we understand the value of students gaining practical experience whilst they’re also at university. It’s great to see students such as Jonty using their initiative and furthering their career by contacting and working with local businesses.
We also thought it would be a great opportunity for the company, with Jonty shedding some light on virtualDCS and what makes us unique as a Cloud service provider.”
