virtualDCS is excited to announce that CloudCover K8s, the latest solution to be added to the CloudCover portfolio has been officially shortlisted at the SDC Awards in the category of Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity innovation of the year.
In addition to this headlining category, virtualDCS has also been shortlisted for Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery Project of the Year.
What is CloudCover K8s?
CloudCover K8s helps to bridge the limitations of the popular open-source container software Kubernetes.
While Kubernetes provides CloudCover-K8s logohigh availability and scalability for application services, these benefits do not apply to the organisation’s data, and this is currently leaving enterprises vulnerable to data loss within their environment.
Designed for enterprise DevOps teams using Cloud native architectural principles, CloudCover K8s provides a simple, scalable, and secure system for Backup and Restoration, application mobility and Disaster Recovery.
Not only does CloudCover K8s provide the backup of data and the ability to recover to the source platform, but it also allows mobility to numerous targets, across public and private clouds, on and off-premise. This is achieved by treating the containers as an entire application, with configurations, rather than bits and bytes.
The CloudCover K8s solution is built on Kasten technology, which was acquired by Veeam and was developed to help organisations confidently run their applications on Kubernetes.
