Cloud Computing experts virtualDCS are pleased to announce that Antonio Francis joined the company as a support apprentice on the 27th January.
This is the second technical apprentice that virtualDCS has welcomed into the company. Prior to Antonio, Matthew Sharpe joined the team and he has now successfully transitioned into a technical support engineer for the business.
While gaining practical hands on experience at virtualDCS, Antonio will also be taking part in the Microsoft partner apprenticeship programme, which is designed to bring new talent into the industry and train apprentices in the latest Microsoft technology.
With University tuition fees at an all-time high, more individuals fresh out of education are turning to apprenticeships and the benefits of gaining qualifications in a workplace environment. “We were very impressed with Antonio’s abilities and were thrilled when he accepted the position at virtualDCS, he’ll make a great addition to the company”, said Ross Devine, Head of Technical Support.
Antonio will now be the first point of contact for virtualDCS customers, helping them to use a full range of Cloud services including: as Software as a Service, Recovery as a Service and Infrastructure as a Service.
Antonio commented on his new position: “I can’t wait to join virtualDCS, they have an impressive portfolio of products and even more innovative ideas for the future of the Cloud. I’m really looking forward to both supporting customers and shaping the future of Cloud technology.”
