The Crystal Maze partner event

First of all, I’d like to introduce myself! I’m Megan, the new Digital Marketing apprentice at virtualDCS, working alongside Nikki and the team! For my first blog here, I’d love to share my experience of our most recent event with you.

Last Wednesday was truly a fantastic day for virtualDCS as we hosted a partner event at The Crystal Maze in Manchester. The day was a huge success, and we were thrilled to have sponsors like Veeam and Vade on board to provide fun goodies for the winning teams!

Throughout the day, we experienced the classic 90’s '90s-themed maze. Shiny jackets were not included this time, which I’m thankful for as it would have clashed with my outfit. This maze included running (more than expected) around with hosts and solving puzzles, mysteries, and physical activities with our team. All while shouting encouraging words!

After the competitive team-building shenanigans, we sat down for a learning session hosted primarily by our very own Richard May (Managing Director) and Kurt Kiefer (CRO). The sessions covered the very latest backup trends and predictions, along with showcasing solutions across the virtualDCS CloudCover service wheel.

The afternoon presentations were particularly interesting as the team shared relevant and informative topics with our partners. We learnt about new pipeline growth strategies, tips for closing opportunities, and how to identify hidden customer pain points. Richard also introduced our new “Single pane of glass” CloudCover solution, which offers a live service status overview, role-based security, Azure AD integration, and much more.

What I personally took away from the afternoon presentations is that we believe in a holistic approach to everything we do. By looking at one service provider, one recovery set, and a single pane of glass to manage all data protection and incident resolution issues, partners can reduce complexity and be better prepared for any crisis. It’s exciting to be part of a team that values such a comprehensive and human approach!

We’re more than happy to share the presentation deck from the day, so please get in touch to request a copy.

I also had the pleasure of meeting so many different partners and suppliers at the event, including Vapour Cloud, Sentis, Glide, Quostar, and many more. It was very encouraging to see so many people take part in the event, and that they all left with valuable insights into what makes partnering with virtualDCS so unique. It was amazing to see the enthusiasm and energy in the room… and for me, as a new employee was inspiring to talk to so many people who shared the same vision and passion for the future of the industry.

The feedback we received from the event was personally one of the most rewarding outcomes of the day. Reading positive emails and LinkedIn posts made all the work that went into the day feel worth it.

“Thank you so much, virtualDCS (and Veeam Software) for arranging such an amazing partner event! I wish I could have taken my phone in to show you how great of a live experience venue The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience is! Had lots of fun (puzzles, challenges and running amock) with great company, and learnt a lot about CloudCover.” – Holly Eyre, Vapour Cloud.

I had lots of fun throughout the day, and I’m already looking forward to the next event (which I can help plan for next time!) and hope it is just as successful as this one.
