Seamless IaaS Migration and Managed Cloud Services for Bettorlogic

Explore how DCS helped London-based sports technology company Bettorlogic achieve enterprise-grade infrastructure resilience, commercial flexibility, and comprehensive managed security.

“DCS didn't come in with a ready-made answer. They took the time to properly understand our operational, performance and commercial requirements first - and that structured, considered approach gave us confidence from day one."

The challenge

Bettorlogic has been at the forefront of sports betting technology for over two decades. Founded in 2004 and headquartered in London, the company works with some of the world’s most recognisable sportsbook operators - including Betfred, Betway, Betsson, and Mr Green. Bettorlogic delivers sophisticated platforms and engaging content that enables a range of interactive features to enhance the user experience within their customer’s applications.

With a growing international footprint and a strategic push into the expanding US market, Bettorlogic’s technology underpins mission-critical operations for organisations across the globe.  For Tejas Patel, CTO at Bettorlogic, the company’s continuing growth made the performance and reliability of the infrastructure underpinning their customer delivery and development vital. Sports betting operates in real time, often under significant peak demand driven by major sporting events, and any instability or degradation in performance carries immediate consequences, including disrupted services for customers, reputational risk, and potential revenue impact across a demanding and discerning client base.

Beyond the focus on performance, the commercial terms currently in place for Bettorlogic offered little room to manoeuvre. As a growing technology business operating in a fast-moving market, Bettorlogic needed infrastructure that could scale flexibly - up when demand increased, back when it eased - without being locked into rigid, one-way commitments that no longer aligned with operational reality. The business needed a partner who could combine enterprise-grade infrastructure with a genuinely managed service, transparent commercial terms, and the flexibility to adapt as the business evolved.

Our solution

DCS proposed a secure, multi-tenant hosting environment delivered from our own enterprise-grade VPC infrastructure, providing Bettorlogic with an isolated virtual environment, guaranteed resources, and the ability to scale capacity in line with business needs.

To build in commercial flexibility, this was structured around a minimum commitment agreement, giving Bettorlogic the ability to scale up during periods of peak demand and back when requirements eased, without a long-term contractual lock-in for each increase.

Alongside the core VPC platform, DCS delivered a comprehensive managed services stack: Huntress for managed detection and response (MDR), Anti-Virus and endpoint management, managed firewall, backup, and expert, ongoing support from the DCS service desk team to ensure Bettorlogic’s infrastructure was not only performant and flexible, but comprehensively protected and expertly managed day to day.

Matthew and the DCS team put together a commercial model that was a genuine fit for our business - flexible where it needed to be, without ever compromising on the quality of what was delivered.

Key features:

  • Secure, multi-tenant VPC hosting: Bettorlogic’s infrastructure is hosted within isolated virtual environments on DCS’s own VPC platform, providing security, guaranteed resources and performance that is never compromised by contention from other tenants.

  • Flexible scaling with minimum commitment: Unlike providers requiring multi-year contractual lock-in, DCS’s minimum commitment model gives Bettorlogic the ability to scale resources up or back in line with actual business demand - a critical advantage for a company operating in a fast-moving, event-driven sector.

  • Managed backup: Automated, managed backup ensures Bettorlogic’s data is protected and recoverable, minimising the risk of data loss and supporting business continuity in the event of an unexpected incident.

  • Managed Detection and Response (MDR): Continuous threat monitoring and response provides proactive protection against cybersecurity threats, with expert human-led analysis ensuring rapid detection, containment, and response.

  • AV management: Centralised AV management keeps Bettorlogic’s endpoints consistently protected, with real-time visibility and automated remediation reducing exposure and internal overhead.

  • Managed firewall service: DCS’s managed firewall provides an active layer of network security, with ongoing management and monitoring, ensuring Bettorlogic’s environment remains protected against evolving threats.

  • DCS service desk support: Responsive, expert support from the DCS service desk gives Bettorlogic confidence that day-to-day operational issues are dealt with swiftly - keeping the team focused on what matters most.

The result

The migration of Bettorlogic’s infrastructure was managed by the DCS service desk team, and followed a detailed plan designed to minimise disruption to the business or its customers during the transition.
Working closely with Tejas and the Bettorlogic team from planning through to go-live, allowed Bettorlogic to remain focused on delivering business as usual activities for its customers throughout the migration.

Bettorlogic has a fully managed, enterprise-grade cloud environment that is robust, scalable, and comprehensively protected. Guaranteed resources eliminate performance concerns, while the layered security stack - combining MDR, AV management, a managed firewall, and automated backup has strengthened Bettorlogic’s security posture. Commercially, the minimum commitment model provides the flexibility the business requires, enabling it to scale in line with operational demand without the constraints of long-term commitments that don’t reflect the variable nature of its market.

Bettorlogic has also gained a long-term technology partner with a proactive and collaborative approach, ready to support the business to ensure it has right-fit infrastructure as it continues to grow, technology advances and the risk landscape evolves.

The team at DCS have been a huge support from our initial commercial engagement, through to the solution design and migration. They have taken the time to understand our business and requirements and have tailored the platform, contract and support thoughtfully to meet them. We are looking forward to working closely with them as Bettorlogic continues to grow and develop.
