The Veeam licensing workshop

Veeam has announced the end-of-sale of socket perpetual licences, but what does this mean for your business strategy?

virtualDCS, Veeam’s first UK ‘Reseller ready’ partner, has teamed up with leading aggregator Arrow to bring you “The Veeam licensing workshop” where we’ll be walking you through Veeam’s licensing changes and how this could benefit you and your customers when using Veeam software.

Workshop overview

The workshop will help the Veeam partners and the reseller community to understand the benefits of Veeam’s licensing portfolio and will cover:

  • Veeam licensing and how it is changing.
  • The importance of reviewing Veeam support contracts before July 2022, when perpetual socket licences end.
  • How to ensure you can select the best value option for your customer.
  • Subscription or Service: how to identify the most appropriate option for each of your projects.
  • Pricing/licensing tool demonstration.
  • Q&A session with Veeam licensing experts

To assist Veeam partners, we have also collaborated to bring you an easy-to-use pricing tool, which will help you to establish how the new licensing models compare to the current options and which of these models is best for your customer. We will show you how to use this tool, and you can even take a copy away with you.

Why we're organising this workshop:

As of the 1st July 2022 Veeam will no longer be offering socket perpetual licences, which affects licences for Veeam Backup & Replication™, Veeam Availability Suite™, Veeam Backup Essentials™ and Veeam ONE™ for both new and existing customers across all editions.

This means that in the short term there will be three ways to buy Veeam licences, and we think that this can be confusing. We have created this workshop to help simplify the options available for current and potential Veeam partners.
